The UP Sainik Schools were set up to provide highly subsidized quality education to selected students of UP with the help of military officers and to make it functional as a nursery and feeder institution for the N.D.A.

Eligibility

• (i) Applicant and Father of applicant must be a domicile of UP.
• (ii) Date of Birth : Applications are invited from applicants born between dates given as under for the academic session 2027-28, for appearing in UP Sainik Schools Entrance Examination to be held on last week of Dec 2026:-
  • (a) For Class VI : 02 July 2015 to 01 January 2018 (both dates inclusive)
  • (b) For Class IX : 02 July 2012 to 01 January 2015 (both dates inclusive)

• (iii) Applicants can appear in the exam as per following details:
  1. UP Sainik School, Lucknow – Class 6 (Boys) Class 9 (Boys & Girls)
  2. Sainik School, Gorakhpur, U P – Class 6 (Boys & Girls) Class 9 (Boys & Girls)
